Meet the founder
Meet Jeff Dorman, Founder
I’m Jeff — husband, dad of four, and the founder of Jam Digital.
For years I was creative and tech-savvy in ways that never quite had a home. I kept telling myself “someday” I’d build something of my own. This year, I finally stopped putting it off. Jam Digital is me finding my own way — and now I get to help local businesses do the same thing.
The name comes from hockey. When someone says a player “has some jam,” they mean the player plays with an edge — relentless, competitive, not afraid to finish a check or get in on the action. That’s the mindset I bring to this work. Getting a small business found online isn’t a passive game. It takes grit, persistence, and a willingness to compete for every inch — for every search, every ranking, every customer. Jam Digital plays with an edge so your business doesn’t get pushed around by bigger competitors with bigger budgets.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me on the sidelines. My four kids play just about everything — hockey, football, baseball, softball, lacrosse, dance, volleyball, basketball — so most weeks look like a full-time logistics operation. I coach youth hockey and softball myself, and I played baseball at Mount Mercy University, so competing and coaching are in my blood.
We’ve called Iowa home for 15 years now, and this state has given my family a lot. When I’m not chasing kids between rinks, fields, and courts, you’ll probably find me golfing or out on the water fishing.
I started Jam Digital because I know what it’s like to want something badly enough to finally go get it — and I know a lot of small business owners around here feel the same way about their own businesses. They just need someone in their corner who’s willing to compete for them. That’s where I come in.
